Job summary

Larsen & Toubro Hazira site invites Diploma in Ceramic Engineering graduates for the Steel Melting Shop – Ceramic. You will apply refractories in steel making, reheating and heat treatment furnaces, with focus on ingot casting refractories. Strong analytical skills and hands-on refractory experience are essential, with good communication and ERP proficiency to support continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Ceramic Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in refractory applications in alloy and stainless-steel industries.
• Knowledge of testing norms for refractories.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to lead improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Good technical knowledge of refractories and castable used in steel making, reheating, and heat treatment furnaces.
• Knowledge of ingot casting refractory will be an added advantage.
• Apply refractory know-how to improve processes and reduce defects.
• Maintain MS Office and ERP records for daily operations.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
• Hands-on experience in refractory applications in alloy and stainless-steel industries.
• Exposure to reheating, heat treatment and box furnace operations.
• Stay updated with testing norms for refractories and performance standards.
• Lead initiatives to improve refractory performance and efficiency.
