Job summary

SHI Solutions India Pvt. Ltd. in Hyderabad seeks an experienced L3 Database Administrator to manage SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL and Oracle databases with hands-on cloud experience in AWS and Azure.

You will handle installation, patching, backups, performance tuning, HA/DR, security and migrations, and collaborate with application, infra and cloud teams. 6+ years of DBA experience required; on-site, five-day work week, rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of DBA experience in production support and troubleshooting.
• Open for rotational shifts.
• 5 days a week work schedule.

L3 Database Administrator – Job Description

We are looking for an experienced L3 Database Administrator with good hands-on experience in SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL and Oracle, along with knowledge of AWS/Azure cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL and Oracle databases.
• Handle database installation, configuration, patching and upgrades.
• Perform backup, restore, database refresh and migration activities.
• Troubleshoot database performance, blocking, deadlocks, CPU, memory, storage and connectivity issues.
• Manage HA/DR and database replication configurations.
• Perform query tuning, index maintenance and database health checks.
• Manage database users, roles, permissions and security.
• Monitor production databases and handle critical incidents.
• Perform RCA for database-related production issues and implement preventive actions.
• Support database services hosted on AWS and Azure.
• Work with application, infrastructure and cloud teams for deployments and production issues.
• Guide L1/L2 team members and handle technical escalations.
• Maintain database documentation and operational procedures.

Experience: 6+ years of DBA experience with strong production support and troubleshooting skills.
