Job Summary
The Site Supervisor – Retail Fit-outs, Fixtures & Interiors will oversee and coordinate all on-site activities related to retail store interior fit-outs, fixture installation, and finishing works. The role ensures that all work meets brand standards for aesthetics, functionality, quality, safety, timelines, and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate installation of fixtures, fittings, display units, shelving, lighting, flooring, and other interior elements.
- Ensure all interior works comply with design specifications, brand guidelines, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with contractors, interior designers, suppliers, and vendors for timely and accurate execution.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor project progress, quality, and safety compliance.
- Manage site manpower, equipment, and materials to ensure smooth workflow and minimize delays.
- Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams for timely availability of materials and fixtures.
- Identify and resolve on-site issues and conflicts to avoid project delays.
- Maintain proper documentation of work progress, site conditions, and scope changes.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards throughout fit-out and installation activities.
- Prepare handover documentation and coordinate with retail operations for store opening readiness.
Requirements
- Experience in supervising retail store fit-outs, interior construction, or similar projects.
- Good knowledge of interior finishes, carpentry, electrical fixtures, and retail display systems.
- Ability to read and interpret interior design drawings and technical specifications.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple contractors and ensure quality of work.
- Knowledge of site safety standards and regulations.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to handling delays and challenges.
- Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation.
- Candidate should have good knowledge of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing).
- Relevant industry experience along with hands-on site supervision and execution experience is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering, Interior Design, Architecture, or a related discipline.
- Prior experience in retail or commercial interior fit-outs.
- Knowledge of retail merchandising requirements and brand standards.
