Job Description Interior Site Supervisor
Overview of the Role
The Interior Site Supervisor at Exospace will be responsible for supervising and coordinating day-to-day interior and fit-out activities at project sites. The role involves monitoring site execution, coordinating with contractors and workers, ensuring work is completed as per drawings and specifications, maintaining quality and safety standards, and ensuring timely completion of assigned work.
Key Responsibilities
1. Site Supervision
- Supervise daily interior and civil work at the project site.
- Monitor ongoing activities and ensure work is executed as per approved drawings and specifications.
- Ensure proper utilization of materials, tools, and manpower.
- Conduct regular site inspections and identify issues or deviations.
2. Contractor & Workforce Coordination
- Coordinate with contractors, carpenters, electricians, plumbers, painters, and other site workers.
- Allocate work and monitor manpower productivity.
- Follow up with contractors to ensure timely completion of assigned activities.
- Coordinate with vendors for material delivery and installation.
3. Interior Execution
- Supervise activities such as false ceiling, flooring, painting, carpentry, partitions, electrical work, plumbing, and furniture installation.
- Check measurements and ensure proper execution of work.
- Ensure finishing and workmanship meet the required standards.
- Identify defects and coordinate for rectification.
4. Material & Inventory Management
- Monitor the availability and usage of construction and interior materials.
- Check incoming materials against required specifications and quantities.
- Minimize material wastage and report shortages or damages.
- Maintain basic records of material movement and consumption.
5. Quality & Safety
- Ensure quality standards are maintained throughout the project.
- Check workmanship and finishing before work is handed over.
- Ensure workers follow basic site safety procedures.
- Report unsafe conditions, damages, or quality issues to the concerned manager.
6. Project Coordination & Reporting
- Coordinate with the Project Manager, Interior Designer, Architect, and other stakeholders.
- Provide regular updates on project progress and site activities.
- Report delays, material requirements, manpower issues, and technical problems.
- Maintain daily site reports and work progress records.
Required Skills & Experience
Interior Site Supervision
- Good understanding of interior fit-out and site execution work.
- Ability to supervise multiple activities and workers at the site.
- Knowledge of construction and interior work processes.
Technical Knowledge
- Basic understanding of civil, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, flooring, painting, and false-ceiling work.
- Ability to understand basic drawings, layouts, measurements, and specifications.
Coordination
- Good contractor and workforce management skills.
- Strong communication and coordination abilities.
- Ability to resolve day-to-day site issues.
Documentation
- Ability to maintain daily progress reports, material records, and work updates.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel/Google Sheets is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- 25 years of experience in interior site supervision, construction, fit-out, or similar projects.
- Experience in commercial office, coworking, hospitality, retail, or residential interior projects will be an advantage.
