Job summary

Adecco India is seeking a Site HSE Officer for Power Construction projects, stationed at Kurnool/Kadapa. The role focuses on establishing and enforcing OHS policies, conducting daily site inspections, and ensuring regulatory compliance on power construction sites.

You will lead risk assessments, deliver toolbox talks, manage PPE and safety documentation, and investigate incidents to prevent recurrence, while promoting a proactive safety culture.

Qualifications

• Regular site inspections to identify unsafe acts and conditions.

Role Description

A Site Safety Officer - Responsible for establishing, implementing, and enforcing occupational health and safety (OHS) policies to prevent accidents and ensure regulatory compliance. Key duties include conducting daily site inspections, performing risk assessments (JSAs}, providing safety training/toolbox talks, managing PPE,investigating incidents, and maintaining safety documentation to mee local

regulations.

Core Roles and Responsibilities

• Inspections and Hazard Identification: Conducting regular, often daily, inspections of construction sites to identify and correct unsafe acts or conditions immediately.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring the project complies with all federal, state,and local safety regulations.
• Risk Management & Assessment: Developing site-specific safety plans, conducting Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and implementing controls to mitigate risks before work begins.
• Training and Education: Providing safety induction for new employees,conducting toolbox talks, and training on specialized equipment or procedures(e.g., fall protection).
• Incident Investigation: Investigating accidents, near-misses, and injuries to determine root causes and preparing reports with corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Emergency Response Planning: Creating and practicing emergency procedures, such as fire drills and evacuation plans.
• Equipment and PPE Oversight: Ensuring all personal protective equipment (PPE) is used correctly and inspecting tools, scaffolding, and machinery to confirm they are in good working condition.
• Subcontractor Management: Assessing and approving subcontractor safety plans to ensure they meet the site's overall safety standards.
• Stop Work Authority: Exercising authority to immediately stop any work that poses a high risk to worker safety.
• Safety Culture Promotion: Promoting a proactive safety culture where workers feel encouraged to report hazards without fear of retribution.
