Job summary

Pinakiin Designs is seeking a Site Safety Officer to manage EHS operations for multi-location interior fit-out projects, including Pune and Mumbai. The role emphasizes enforcing safety regulations, conducting regular site inspections, and coordinating with project teams to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.

Mandatory ADIS certification, with additional NEBOSH/IOSH or Fire Safety qualifications considered advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• ADIS certification mandatory.
• NEBOSH, IOSH, or Fire Safety certifications are a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Oversee EHS operations for interior fit-out projects across Pune, Mumbai, and other locations.
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits, safety walks, and compliance reviews.
• Ensure adherence to safety regulations, statutory requirements, and client-specific EHS standards.
• Monitor high-risk activities including working at heights, electrical works, hot work, and material handling.
• Coordinate Civil and MEP safety coordination and liaise with project teams on safety matters.

Key Responsibilities

Site Safety Management

• Oversee EHS operations for multiple corporate interior fit-out projects across Pune, Mumbai, and other locations
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits, safety walks, and compliance reviews
• Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations, statutory requirements, and client-specific EHS standards
• Monitor critical high-risk activities including:
• Working at heights
• Electrical works
• Hot work activities
• Material handling
• Confined space operations
• Civil and MEP coordination activities

Compliance & Documentation

Ensure adherence to Maharashtra/Mumbai local authority safety regulations and statutory requirements.
Maintain all EHS documentation including permits to work, inspection checklists, and safety logs
Liaise with client safety teams and government/statutory bodies as required
Prepare and submit weekly and monthly EHS reports to the Project Manager.

Coordination

Coordinate with the Project Manager, site engineers, and subcontractors on safety-related matters
Ensure compliance with fire safety, electrical safety, and working-at-height regulations specific to interior fitout projects.
Participate in project planning meetings to embed safety considerations from the outset.
