Job summary

Kirloskar Brothers Limited in Korba, India, seeks a Safety Officer to assist the project In charge in ensuring statutory safety requirements and to coordinate with the principal owner's safety personnel. The role includes hazard identification, site inspections, and building a zero-accident culture.

You will conduct toolbox talks, safety trainings (induction and on-the-job), prepare checksheets, perform HIRA, maintain safety MIS, and ensure PPE usage and audits.

Responsibilities

• To assist project In charge to ensure all statutory requirements related to safety. Also co-ordinate with Safety person of principle owner.
• Carry out hazard identification, Safety inspection at project site
• To work developing safety culture at site to achieve Zero accident target.
• Prepare Safety checklist for the project site.
• Carry out HIRA at project sites
• To ensure Safe work according to Safety guidelines / Safety manuals
• To carry out tool box talks on routine basis and Conducting safety awareness program at site. Celebrate National Safety Week.
• Conduct safety training at Site including induction training, on job training and incidental trainings,
• Promote Safety committee at project sites and conduct regular meetings
• Carry out Accident investigation / analysis to get root cause for further to Prevent not to repeat in further Corrective action on unsafe acts/conditions and reporting.
• Coordinating statutory inspection of lifting tools and tackles
• Prepare and Sending Safety MIS.
• Maintaining records, reporting & advising to the project In charge, Zonal safety officer and corporate safety
• Ensuring use of personal protective equipments
• Responsible for verification of implementation of HSE management system at project site and carry out internal audits.
• Co-ordinate with corporate safety to any safety related issue at site. Seek help from him and maintain safety at site.
