Job summary

Sone India is seeking a Safety Officer to implement and maintain statutory safety rules and HSE requirements in Mumbai. The role includes conducting hazard identifications and risk assessments, site inspections, safety audits, and incident reporting.

You will lead safety inductions, toolbox talks, and training programs, investigate incidents, and coordinate with clients, contractors, and vendors to ensure compliance and a safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain all statutory safety rules, regulations, and HSE requirements.
• Conduct Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment (HIRA), site inspections, safety audits, and reporting.
• Prepare/review HSE, Emergency, Traffic & Fire Plans and implement permit systems for hazardous work.
• Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, training programs, and investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses.
• Monitor the safety team, ensure PPE availability, maintain safety documentation/MIS, and coordinate with clients, contractors, and vendors.
