Job summary

Coreehs is seeking a Safety Officer to conduct site inspections, enforce safety policies, and monitor PTW activities to ensure safe working conditions on site.

You will coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, contractors, and management, conduct toolbox talks and trainings, review JSA/RA, and ensure proper PPE usage for all workers. Maintain records and drive corrective actions for continuous safety improvements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular site inspections to identify hazards and ensure safe working conditions.
• Ensure compliance with company safety policies, client requirements, and applicable safety regulations.
• Monitor Permit to Work (PTW) activities, including work at height, hot work, confined space, excavation, and lifting operations.
• Ensure the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by all employees and workers.
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and awareness training.
• Prepare and review Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Risk Assessments (RA).
• Monitor machinery, tools, electrical equipment, scaffolding, and lifting equipment for safe operation.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensure emergency preparedness, fire safety, first-aid arrangements, and evacuation procedures.
• Maintain safety records, inspection reports, incident reports, and daily, weekly, and monthly safety documentation.
• Ensure proper housekeeping, waste management, and environmental protection at the site.
• Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, contractors, and management to resolve safety issues.
• Stop or escape unsafe work as per site procedures and ensure corrective measures are implemented before work resumes.
