Secure Minds is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE3) to maintain the health of our core compute services, ensuring API availability and low latency for mission-critical systems. You will take ownership of automation, monitoring, and incident response in a demanding on-call environment.

The role emphasizes Linux administration, Python scripting, and CI/CD processes, with an opportunity to drive efficiency and reliability across tier-1 operations.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent).
• 4-8 years relevant experience.
• Strong Linux/Unix system administration and command-line skills.
• Strong shell scripting in Linux.
• Experience automating tasks with Python.
• Basic networking (routing & switching, DHCP, DNS).
• Deep understanding of service metrics, alarms, dashboards and KPIs.
• Experience in mission-critical tier-1 environment with pager-duty.
• Software development experience for services/operational tooling; CI/CD knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Maintain operational health of core compute services with focus on API availability and low latency.
• Handle Linux systems administration, shell scripting and Python automation.
• Develop service metrics, dashboards and alarms; own CI/CD processes.
• Triage and prioritize tickets; drive incident response with root-cause analysis.
• Provide on-call pager-duty support in a mission-critical tier-1 environment.

The role covers Linux systems administration, shell scripting and Python automation, service-metrics/dashboard/alarming development, CI/CD process ownership, ticket triage and prioritization, and driving sustainable incident response with root cause analysis – including pager-duty on-call support.
