Job summary

Okta is seeking an experienced Staff Site Reliability Engineer II to join our Workforce Identity Cloud Security Engineering group in Bengaluru. The role focuses on designing and developing security solutions to harden cloud infrastructure, emphasizing defense-in-depth and least privilege.

You will collaborate with security and engineering teams, evangelize best practices, and drive automation across large-scale IAM and containerized services in AWS and GCP.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in security engineering or SRE roles.
• Experience automating, securing, and running large-scale production IAM and containerized services.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD, Linux fundamentals, OS hardening, networking, and IP protocols.

Responsibilities

• Designing, building, running, and monitoring production infrastructure.

Okta's Workforce Identity Cloud Security Engineering group is looking for an experienced and passionate Staff Site Reliability Engineer to join a team focused on designing and developing Security solutions to harden our cloud infrastructure. Have a deep understanding and familiarity with configuration management tools like Chef and Terraform. Have expert-level abilities in operational tooling languages such as Ruby, Python, Go and shell, and use of source control. Experience with industry-standard security tools like Nessus, Qualys, OSQuery, Splunk, etc. Experience with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and secrets management Bonus points for: Experience conducting threat assessments, and assessing vulnerabilities in a high-availability setting.
