Job summary

Okta Bangalore (Global Innovation Center Presales) is seeking a Solutions Engineer to support customers in the US by demonstrating identity and security solutions and leading POCs. You will work with IT managers, developers, and executives to show value and align the Okta platform with customer needs.

The role focuses on Workforce Identity, involves live demos, architectural modeling, and collaborating with sales to drive outcomes in a fast-paced, EST-aligned environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of working experience in IAM or a related SaaS field in a pre-sales role.
• Experience with IAM concepts: SSO, MFA, passwordless authentication, privileged access, device access.
• Strong communication and presentation skills with customer-facing experience.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate Okta solutions via live demos and sales presentations to IT managers, developers, product managers, and executives.
• Architect and model how Okta Workforce Identity fits current architectures and use cases.
• Lead outcome-focused POCs and maintain deep knowledge of Okta product lines and protocols.
• Engage in regional events as a presenter or participant to evangelize Okta solutions.

About The Team

Global Innovation Center SE team (Presales):

Over the last 3 years, Okta in Bangalore has fueled our growth around the world. The Global Innovation Center Presales team has been a crucial part of this growth. We are expanding this team made up of exceptional high-performing individuals. In this team, you will focus on being a customer-facing solution engineer crafting identity and security solutions for commercial segments in the US, ranging from digitally native start-ups to scaling SMBs.

As a Solutions Engineer you will:

• Support our customers along their sales journey by showing them the value of the Okta technology through live demonstrations and sales presentations.
• Sell directly to IT managers, developers, product managers, and occasionally more senior executives across various industries..
• Have a focus on our Okta Workforce Identity solutions and be able to model how this solution will support their current architecture requirements and use cases
• Execute well-defined, outcome-focused POCs
• Maintain a broad and deep technical understanding of the Okta product line and the underlying technologies and protocols
• Occasionally participate in local and regional events evangelising Okta as a presenter and an attendee.

We are looking for:

• Ability to work in the EST Time Zone
• A minimum of 5 years of working experience in IAM or a related SaaS field as a pre-sales engineer.
• Expertise or hands-on experience in IAM, single sign-on, multi-factor authentication, passwordless authentication, universal directory, privileged access, and device access is preferred.
• Experience working with REST APIs and SDKs.
• Ability to communicate complex ideas and solutions, incorporating white-boarding, practical examples, and product demonstrations.
• Experience in a customer-facing role such as consulting, customer support, or pre-sales.
• Strong empathy, listening skills and time management skills.
