Job summary

ZEISS India in Bengaluru is seeking an experienced DevOps professional to lead platform and cloud operations on Azure. You will collaborate with architects, product owners, and engineers to align platform topics, optimize CI/CD pipelines, and ensure secure, scalable services.

The role requires a computer science degree or equivalent, 5+ years in DevOps, strong Azure/PaaS knowledge, and excellent English, analytical thinking, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Completed degree in computer science or a comparable field, or equivalent vocational training with relevant professional experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a DevOps role or a similar technical environment.
• In-depth knowledge of planning, implementing, and operating cloud solutions, including C#, .NET and major Azure PaaS resources.
• Experience with tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub, or similar platforms for managing CI/CD pipelines.
• In-depth knowledge of tools such as Azure DevOps, containerization, HELM, Git, Bicep, and PowerShell.
• Excellent English skills; analytical thinking and a structured approach; strong communication skills; solution-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Participate in long term strategic architecture for the platform and operations on Azure.
• Align, enhance and coordinate platform related topics with architects, product owners, and engineers.
• Act as key contact for all platform topics during business testing and issue resolution.
• Engage in regular knowledge sharing and targeted training to improve technical skills.
• Proactively monitor and load test deployed services and architectures for secure, stable operations.
• Implement FinOps optimizations and continuously improve integration and security standards.

Platform and Operations Responsibilities

Participate in our long term strategic architecture and take responsibility for the platform and operations with a focus on the Microsoft Azure Cloud. Align, enhance and coordinate platform related topics with architects, product owners, and engineers. Act as key contact person for all platform related topics especially during business testing and help resolve any issues that arise. Engage in regular knowledge sharing, targeted training, and personal development supported by the company to improve technical skills and stay up to date with industry trends. Proactively monitor and load test deployed services and architectures to ensure secure, stable operations and implement (finops) optimizations. Actively contribute to shaping the platform architecture and continuously improve integration and security standards.
