Job summary

Reliance Industries (RIL) invites a Planner to join our Mumbai-based team to support the Lead Planner in overseeing project planning and scheduling for real estate and infra initiatives. You will develop and maintain schedules, load resources, collect data from stakeholders, and produce progress and productivity reports.

The role requires 3–8 years of relevant experience and a strong civil engineering background, with adherence to SOPs.

Qualifications

• Post graduate in construction management (NICMAR) or equivalent.
• B.E./B.Tech in civil engineering.
• 3–8 years of relevant work experience in planning for real estate or construction projects.
• Experience in handling real estate projects is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project schedules with project management tools.
• Assist in resource loading and estimating manpower, equipment, and materials.
• Collect data from stakeholders for schedule updates and reports.
• Update schedules at defined frequencies.
• Highlight risks and propose mitigation strategies.
• Prepare progress and productivity reports for major trades.
• Assess impact of change requests and update schedules.
• Attend progress meetings and prepare minutes.
• Ensure documentation of schedules, baselines, and change orders per SOP.
• Maintain contractor performance records as instructed.

Responsibilities

• The responsibility of a planner is to support Lead planner in overseeing following planning and scheduling aspects of projects within an organization. Following are some key responsibilities.
• Project Planning - Support lead planner in developing and maintaining project schedules using project management software.
• Resource loading - Support lead planner in schedule resource loading. Estimate resources required, including manpower, equipment, and materials for each activity.
• Data collection - Collect data from concern stakeholders for project schedule update and reports preparation as per set frequency.
• Schedule Management - Update project schedules as per set frequency.
• Risk Management - Highlight potential risks to project schedules and propose mitigation strategies to minimize their impact.
• Progress Reporting - Prepare progress reports as requested by lead planner.
• Productivity Report - Prepare and maintain productivity reports for major trades as per lead planners' instruction.
• Change Management - Assess the impact of change requests and update the schedule accordingly.
• Progress Meetings - Attend progress meetings and prepare MOM of meetings.
• Documentation - Ensure documentation related to project schedules, including baseline schedules, progress reports, change orders, Delay events is stored as per SOP.
• Contractors Performance Review - Maintain contractors performance record as per lead planners instruction.
