Job summary

Toyo Engineering India invites an experienced Piping Site Engineer to supervise field installation, fabrication, testing and inspection of process and utility piping systems.

The role ensures site work aligns with engineering designs, follows strict HSE rules and complies with ASME B31.3, B31.4/B31.8, isometrics, GA drawings and P&ID diagrams, with 7–12 years of relevant experience in oil & gas, petrochemical or refinery projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 7–12 years field experience in oil & gas, petrochemical or refinery construction.
• Strong knowledge of ASME B31.3, B31.4/B31.8 and related codes.
• Ability to read isometrics, GA drawings, and P&ID diagrams.
• Strict adherence to HSE and safety procedures on site.

Responsibilities

• Direct contractor and erection teams to route, fit, and install pipes, valves, and specialty items according to Isometrics and P&IDs.
• Coordinate with QA/QC to monitor welding quality, material grades, and pipe support installation.
• Manage hydro- or pneumatic testing, flushing, and line clearance prior to plant startup.
• Track daily site progress and report bottlenecks to the construction manager.

• Education: Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience: 7 to 12 years of active site experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, or refinery construction projects.
• Technical Knowledge: Deep familiarity with ASME B31.3, ASME B31.4/B31.8, and international codes, plus the ability to read isometric, GA, and P&ID drawings.
• HSE Compliance: Strict adherence to refinery safety procedures, work permit systems, and toolbox talks.

• Construction Supervision: Direct contractor and erection teams to route, fit, and install pipes, valves, and specialty items according to Isometrics and P&IDs. Quality Control:
• Coordinate with QA/QC inspectors to monitor welding quality, material grades, and pipe support installation.
• Testing & Commissioning: Manage pressure testing, including hydro-testing or pneumatic testing, flushing, and line clearance prior to plant startup.
• Progress Monitoring: Track daily site progress against project schedules and report bottlenecks to the construction manager. Technical Resolution: Raise and resolve Field Query Requests (FQRs) or Technical Queries (TQs) when site clashes or design discrepancies occur.
