Job summary

Phenom is seeking an Electrical Engineering professional to supervise the erection and testing of switchyard facilities at our project sites in India. The role requires ensuring safety, coordinating material usage, and overseeing civil foundations and control room construction as part of the substation build.

The candidate should have 5–8 years of relevant experience in erection and testing of switchyards, with a strong focus on on-site technical support and timely project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering with 5–8 years of relevant experience in erection and testing of switchyard.
• Experience in safety compliance and site supervision for electrical installations.
• Knowledge of civil foundations, control rooms and building structures related to substations.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a secure working environment on site.
• Reconcile materials, track inventory usage and allocate resources efficiently.
• Oversee storage and handling of materials to prevent damage and delays.
• Supervise erection of 33/400 kV substation equipment including cables, towers, panels and transformers.
• Apply knowledge of civil construction foundations and control room buildings.
• Provide technical support for installation, commissioning and testing of systems at site.

1. Adherence to safety protocols, implementing measures to prevent hazards and maintaining a secure working environment.
2. Reconciliation of materials, tracking inventory usage and ensuring optimal resource allocation.
3. Oversees storage and handling of materials, ensuring proper conditions and organization to prevent damage and delays.
4. Supervises erection of 33/400 KV substation, cable laying & termination, Tower beam structures, Equipment structure, Electrical Panels, Power Transformers Etc. Ensuring precision in alignment, stability, and compliance with engineering specifications.
5. Knowledge of Civil construction / Foundations / Control room Building etc.
6. Provides technical support for installation, commissioning, and testing of systems and equipment at the project site.

Work Experience

Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering with minimum 5-8 years of relevant work experience in Erection, Testing commissioning of switchyard.
