Job summary

Indiana Conveyors Private Limited (ICPL) is seeking a Site Project engineer to lead the execution, erection and commissioning of bulk material handling systems at client sites across India. You will supervise conveyors, crushers, silos and related equipment with strong hands-on involvement.

The role requires coordinating with clients and internal teams, ensuring GA drawings compliance, and resolving field issues promptly to meet safety and project timelines.

Qualifications

• Experience in execution, erection and commissioning of bulk material handling systems.
• Hands-on supervision of conveyors, crushers, silos and related equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Execution, erection, alignment, and commissioning of Bulk Material Handling systems.
• Supervision of belt conveyors, screw conveyors, bucket elevators and related equipment.
• Ensure smooth site execution as per GA drawings and approved documents.
• Coordination with client, vendor, and internal teams for timely completion.
• Ensure smooth installation, alignment and commissioning of BM H equipment.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement and construction teams for timely project execution.
• Monitor site activities to ensure quality, safety and timelines.
• Review drawings and ensure execution per approved documents.
• Identify and resolve site issues and perform issue RCA when needed.
• Vendor coordination and supervision during erection and commissioning activities.
• Prepare daily/weekly progress reports and highlight critical issues.
• Support performance testing and handover activities.

We have an opportunity for Site Project department.

Key Responsibilities:

1) Execution, erection, alignment, and commissioning of Bulk Material Handling systems.

2) Hands-on handling and supervision of the following equipment:

• Belt Conveyors (fixed, shuttle, reversible)
• Screw conveyors
• Travel Tripper
• Bucket Elevators
• Crushers (Limestone Crusher, Hammer Crusher, Impact Crusher)
• Vibrating Screens
• Silos & Hoppers
• Dust Extraction Systems (Bag Filters / ESP interface)
• Chutes & Gates (Diverter Gates, Slide Gates) etc

3) Ensure smooth site execution as per GA drawings, layouts, and approved engineering documents.

4) Coordination with client, vendor, and internal teams for timely completion.

5) Ensure smooth installation, alignment, and commissioning of BMH equipment

6)Coordinate with engineering,procurement, and construction teams for timely project execution .

7) Monitor site activities to ensure adherence to quality, safety, and project timelines

8) Review drawings (GA, layout, structural, equipment) and ensure execution as per approved documents.

9) Identify and resolve site issues, including troubleshooting of mechanical systems.

10) Vendor coordination and supervision during erection and commissioning activities.

11) Preparation of daily/weekly progress reports and highlighting critical issues

12) Ensure compliance with client specifications and contractual requirements.

13) Support performance testing and handover activities.

Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving (Mandatory):

• Strong hands-on experience in identifying and resolving issues such as:
• Process clarity
• Belt miss tracking, slippage and spillage issues.
• Blockages in chutes, hoppers and feeders.
• Abnormal vibration and noise in rotating equipment.
• Crusher performance issues .(low output, jamming, wear problems)
• Material flow issues (arching, ratholing, choking)
• Alignment issues of conveyors and rotating equipment.
• Frequent tripping and operational instability.
• Ability to carry out root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions.
• Experience in optimizing system performance under load conditions.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of conveying systems, crushers, feeders, silos, and material flow.
• Hands-on experience in erection, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of material characteristics. (limestone, coal, clinker, etc.)
• Familiarity with engineering tools and drawings. (AutoCAD, GA, layout review)
• Good coordination and communication skills.
• Problem-solving and decision-making ability at site.

The job involves extensive travelling.
