Job summary

Freyr Energy Services in Odisha is seeking an on-site Engineer responsible for all field activities related to rooftop and ground-mounted solar project execution, including site surveys, design approvals, and installation coordination.

You will communicate details to the design team, support client approvals, monitor installations, and ensure zero-errors across sites while maintaining quality and post-installation maintenance. Travel to sites across the region is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include Diploma/ITI or degree in Electrical/Electronics/Civil/Mechanical engineering.
• 60% or higher in 10th/12th grades is required.
• Willingness to travel extensively and work on-site at multiple solar installation sites.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site surveys and obtain design approvals.
• Assist design team with site layout and required details.
• Coordinate with installers to ensure adherence to Freyr processes during installation.
• Monitor installations and close out projects with zero errors.
• Perform quality assessments and maintenance post-installation.
• Provide after-sales support and diagnose service requests to resolve issues.

Job description

Job Summary: The Engineer is responsible for all on‑field activities related to project execution, including but not limited to site survey, installation maintenance of residential rooftop solar projects.

Responsibilities

• Site Surveys
• Design Approvals
• Assess and communicate site details and measurements accurately to design team.
• Coordinate assist the design team in the final design with site layout and all other required details.
• If required, explain the design to the client to expedite approvals.
• Project Installation
• Communicate these details accurately with the installer and ensure that Freyrs systems and processes are followed during installation.
• Where required, close monitoring installations will need to be done.
• Ensure project execution with zero errors across all residential project sites.
• Quality Assessments
• Primarily responsible for all quality assessments and maintenance activities at the sites in the assigned region for both rooftop ground‑mounted plants.
• Strict adherence to pre‑set parameters at all plants as part of the quality assessment post installation of all sites.
• Maintenance After Sales Support
• Provide after sales service support maintenance, as required.
• To ensure proper maintenance by adhering to the assigned maintenance schedule
• Assigned service requests to be diagnosed to identify the root cause, as well as for an efficient long‑term resolution.
• Trouble shooting, fault findings root cause analysis.
• Reporting
• Maintaining files and documents related to site surveys, project execution for each client and service reports after service calls.
• To provide with up‑to‑date daily work status report via email to reporting manager.

Mandatory Requirements

• Diploma/ITI / B.E./ B. Tech. (Electrical/Electronics/ Civil/ Mechanical)
• 60% above in 10th and 12th grades
• Age 28 or below
• Candidate must have experience in the CI segment.
• Should have 1 year of experience in executing ground‑mount or rooftop solar plants with a minimum capacity of 50 kW and above.
• Knowledge of National Electrical Code, National Occupational standards (NOS) and standard design/construction practices
• Willingness to travel extensively
• Good oral written communication skills.
