Job Description

The Engineer is responsible for all on‑field activities related to project execution, including site survey, installation, and maintenance of residential rooftop solar projects.

Responsibilities

• Assess and communicate site details and measurements accurately to the design team.
• Coordinate and assist the design team in the final design with site layout and all required details.
• Explain the design to the client to expedite approvals, if required.
• Communicate design details accurately with the installer and ensure compliance with Freyr’s systems and processes during installation.
• Conduct monitoring installations, as required, to ensure zero‑error project execution across all residential project sites.
• Perform quality assessments and maintenance activities at assigned sites for both rooftop and ground‑mounted plants.
• Strictly adhere to pre‑set parameters at all plants as part of the quality assessment post‑installation of all sites.
• Ensure proper maintenance by following the assigned maintenance schedule.
• Diagnose assigned service requests to identify root cause and provide an efficient long‑term resolution, including troubleshooting, fault findings, and root cause analysis.
• Maintain files and documents related to site surveys, project execution for each client, and service reports after service calls.
• Provide daily work‑status reports via email to the reporting manager.

Requirements

• 60% or above in 10th and 12th grades.
• Experience in the C&I segment.
• 1 year of experience executing ground‑mount or rooftop solar plants with a minimum capacity of 50 kW.
• Knowledge of National Electrical Code, National Occupational Standards (NOS), and standard design/construction practices.
• Willingness to travel extensively.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to think critically, organize work assignments according to priority, and collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders.
• Passion for delivering high quality results and accountability of assignments.
• Willingness to learn.
• Problem‑solving and analytical thinking.
• Preferably owns a two‑wheeler for ease of transport.
