Job summary

Relics Wood Industries is seeking a Site Engineer Interior & Fit-Out to supervise day-to-day execution of commercial and residential interior projects, coordinating with architects, designers, MEP teams, contractors and clients to ensure work aligns with drawings, specifications, timelines and budgets.

You will read and interpret architectural, interior, civil and MEP drawings, monitor trades such as carpentry, electrical, HVAC, flooring, painting and glazing, check measurements, and ensure

Qualifications

• Diploma or BSc in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• 2–6 years of relevant experience in interior fit-out, commercial or residential interiors, or construction projects.
• Hands-on site execution experience will be preferred.
• Open to travel anywhere in India.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise daily site activities for interior and fit-out projects.
• Ensure execution aligns with approved drawings, specifications, BOQ, and schedules.
• Coordinate with architects, designers, consultants, MEP teams, contractors and vendors.
• Read and interpret architectural, interior, civil, and MEP drawings.
• Monitor civil works, partitions, ceilings, flooring, painting, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and façade works.
• Check site dimensions, levels, and setting-out before execution.
• Ensure proper sequencing and coordination between trades.
• Supervise subcontractors/workers and ensure productivity and workmanship meet project requirements.
• Inspect materials on site for compliance with samples and specifications.
• Maintain quality standards and rectify defects or deviations.
• Monitor progress against schedule and flag delays to Project Manager.
• Coordinate material requirements and ensure timely availability at site.
• Prepare progress reports, site measurements, checklists, and documentation.
• Verify quantities and measurements of work by subcontractors.
• Assist in preparing/tracking BOQs, work orders, and billing measurements.
• Ensure safety practices and compliance with site safety procedures.
• Attend site meetings and resolve technical and execution issues.
• Raise RFIs and coordinate drawing/design clarifications.
• Monitor snagging, testing, and final handover activities.
• Coordinate with client/consultant during inspections and approvals.
• Maintain drawings, revisions, approvals, inspection records, and site instructions.
