Job summary

Givaudan is seeking a Site Controller to provide financial support for operations, budgeting, forecasting and internal controls across multiple sites in India. You will collaborate with regional management to drive cost efficiency and value creation.

The role requires 6–8 years of manufacturing-controlling experience, strong communication in English, and hands-on costing and planning knowledge. SAP FI/CO, Excel, and PowerPoint are essential tools.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics or similar Controlling qualification.
• 6–8 years’ experience in controlling in a manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of costing processes and procedures.
• Proven team leader with strong communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Support the site management in budgeting, forecasting, cost savings and the monthly close.
• Oversee several manufacturing facilities (e.g., Pune, Daman, Roha) and provide financial support.
• Perform monthly KPI analyses and provide interpretive, predictive information for decision making.
• Manage annual budgeting and costing activities and coordinate site budgeting process.
• Partner with site/area management to drive process improvements and cost reductions.

Site Controller- Your future position?

As the Site Controller Flavours, you will provide appropriate financial support to the Head of Operations for the performance management, budget management and internal controls. Moreover you will assist the Regional Operations Controller to issue all needed reports and analysis for Regional and General Management.

Business Support

In this exciting role you will:

You will support the site management in the development and analysis of business plans, forecasts, cost savings opportunities, etc. associated with the months-end financial close. You will support the management in strategic decision making. In special projects you will give additionally overall financial support.

The role involves overseeing several manufacturing facilities (Pune, Daman, Roha) and you will be supported by a local cost controller.

Planning And Forecasting

You will perform ad-hoc and pro-active analysis of the monthly KPIs and provide the management with interpretive and predictive information for decision making. This includes the provision of analyses and interpretation of financial information to various functional management and stakeholders, including Division Controlling, Operations Controlling and Commercial Controlling. Moreover you will review the analysis of the sites cost and identify variances vs. budget, last year and outlook. Here you pro-actively drive and recommend corrective actions. Last you will participate in forecasting and mid-to long term planning for the factory.

Budget Cycle And Costing

You will manage annual and periodic requirements of costing activities and analysis of COGS. You will provide detailed product costing analysis and supports management in the evaluation of product costs. Moreover you will manage and coordinate the annual budget process for the site.

Business Partnering And Leadership

You will work closely with the site and area management and help them to improve key performance indicators. You will contribute as an active member in site projects and initiatives that drive process/cost improvements (i.e., Supply Chain, LEAN, BIT). To stay informed of site activities you will attend and actively participate in site operations meetings and provide finance support/action where required.

Your Professional Profile Includes

• Degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics or similar Controlling qualification
• Minimum 6 to 8 years’ experience in controlling in a manufacturing environment
• Working knowledge of costing processes and procedures
• Proven team leader skill is an advantage
• Excellent communication skills in English. Dutch and French are an advantage.
• Structured analytical thinking
• Strong financial background (budgeting process, reporting, financial analysis, controlling, accounting)
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to integrate in complex teams within a matrix organization
• SAP FI/CO and advanced Excel & Powerpoint skills
