Job summary

Givaudan in India, Pune site, seeks an EHS Specialist to promote safety culture and compliance at the MIDC Ranjangaon site. You will implement safety programs, conduct trainings, and manage incident investigations, focusing on process safety and regulatory requirements.

The role requires a B.Sc. in Chemistry and a recognized Diploma in Industrial Safety, up to 5 years of safety experience, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP.

Qualifications

• BSc Chemistry and a CLI/RLI/MSBTE recognized Diploma in Industrial Safety are required.
• Up to 5 years of experience in the safety domain, preferably in a chemical industry.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP System is expected.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate implementation of safety programs and safety events.
• Ensure Permit to Work for hazardous activities and conduct toolbox talks.
• Maintain training matrices and deliver EHS trainings for employees, contractors, and visitors.
• Support Process Risk Assessments and suggest controls to reduce risk.
• Lead incident investigations and manage corrective actions.
• Stay current with local EHS regulations and process safety management.
• Maintain MIS documentation including CAPA, trend analysis, and training records.

EHS Specialist – Your future Position?

EHS Specialist will be working at Givaudan (India) Private Ltd, MIDC Ranjangaon, Pune. This position will be reporting to EHS Manager providing critical support in promoting the EHS culture at Site.

In This Role You Will Focus On

• Facilitate implementation of safety programs like mock drills, engagement events, safety committee, pre startup safety review, internal audits, inspections, Gemba Walks etc.
• Ensure that Hazardous activities are conducted after issuance of Permit to Work and necessary Tool Box Talk.
• Ensure that, systems are sustained for training & awareness of employees, contractors and visitors. Maintain EHS Training matrices for employees & deliver Trainings.
• Facilitate Process Risk Assessment and suggest control measures to control risk.
• Facilitate Incident investigation and action management.
• Should be conversant with local EHS regulations and compliance requirements.
• Should be conversant with Process Safety Management.
• MIS – To maintain the documentation generated (CAPA record, Trend Analysis, Training details, Risk assessment documentation etc.) out of implementation of EHS Management System, review the documentation time to time to ensure the MIS is up to date.

Your Professional Profile Includes

Education: B. Sc. (Chemistry) and CLI / RLI / MSBTE recognized Diploma in Industrial Safety

Experience: Up to 5 Years in Safety domain preferably in chemical Industry

Computer Skills: Microsoft Office & Conversant with SAP System.
