Job summary

Givaudan in Bengaluru seeks an experienced Assistant Manager – Demand Planning to forecast customer demand, manage inventories, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize supply chain performance. Assistant Manager – Demand Planning - Your future position?
Purpose

As Assistant Manager – Demand Planning, you’re responsible for forecasting customer demand, managing inventory levels, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal supply chain performance. They analyze historical data, market trends, and statistical models to develop accurate demand forecasts and implement strategies to minimize excess inventory and prevent stockouts. This role also involves monitoring demand patterns, adjusting forecasts based on real-time data, and preparing reports for key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Developing and Maintaining Demand Forecasts:

  • Utilizing historical data, statistical analysis, and market insights to create accurate demand forecasts for products and services.

Collaborating With Cross-Functional Teams

  • Working with sales, marketing, and operations teams to align demand planning with business objectives and ensure customer satisfaction.

Inventory Management

Your Professional Profile Includes

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (e.g., Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or equivalent)
  • 6 years of relevant experience in demand planning, supply chain planning, or related roles.
  • Strong analytical and statistical skills: Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop accurate forecasts.
  • Proficiency in forecasting software and tools: Experience with statistical modeling software, ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and other demand planning tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking skills: Ability to identify and address issues related to demand planning and inventory management.
  • Understanding of supply chain management principles: Knowledge of inventory management, logistics, and other supply chain functions.
  • Leadership and mentoring skills (if leading a team): Ability to motivate and develop a team of demand planners.
