About the role

A Site Civil Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all civil construction activities on site, ensuring that the contractor’s scope of work is executed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with project requirements. The role involves managing and guiding the civil site team, overseeing daily construction operations, and ensuring alignment with design specifications, contractual obligations, project schedules, and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise all civil construction activities on site.
• Manage and guide the civil site team, overseeing daily construction operations.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor contractor performance to ensure adherence to technical specifications, quality benchmarks, and HSE requirements.
• Collaborate with the Civil Engineering Project Management team for technical coordination and resolution of site‑related issues.
• Manage and track Requests for Information (RFIs), support implementation of Field Quality Plans, and ensure timely closure of technical queries.
• Evaluate constructability of design documents, provide feedback to engineering teams, and review contractor submissions such as Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs) and as‑built drawings.
• Report regularly to the General Site Manager and Sub Project Manager Civil Engineering on project progress, schedule, quality, HSE compliance, risks, opportunities, contractor performance, and resource deployment.
• Ensure strict compliance with company policies, applicable laws, and national and international safety standards, upholding professional and ethical conduct.
