Job summary

Earthen Studio in Chennai seeks a Site Architect to lead eco-friendly building design and heritage renovations on-site. You will conduct site studies, climate analysis, and prepare drawings aligned with regional materials and traditional methods.

You will coordinate with construction teams, suppliers and consultants to implement natural plasters, water management systems, and other sustainable practices, monitor progress, ensure quality and safety, and support documentation and client refinement

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Architecture and Architectural Design with climate-responsive and sustainable practices.
• Project Management including planning, scheduling, coordination with site teams, and quality control.
• Site analysis, construction supervision, knowledge of eco-friendly materials, natural plasters, and water management systems.
• Professional degree in Architecture; eligibility or registration with architectural council is beneficial.

Role Description

The Site Architect will work full time on-site in Chennai, overseeing the design and execution of eco-friendly buildings and heritage renovation projects. In this role, the Site Architect will conduct detailed site studies and climate analysis, develop architectural concepts, and prepare drawings aligned with sustainable and regional design principles. The position involves coordinating with construction teams, material suppliers, and consultants to implement natural plasters, regional materials, and water management systems. The Site Architect will monitor project progress on site, ensure adherence to quality and safety standards, and address design challenges during construction. The role also includes supporting project documentation, collaborating with clients to refine design requirements, and continuously integrating traditional techniques with contemporary sustainable practices.
