JD: Simulation Sales Engineer
Lead business growth for the Simulation portfolio by enabling customers across multiple industry verticals to adopt simulation-driven product development practices. The role combines engineering knowledge with consultative sales skills to identify customer challenges, position simulation solutions, and support customers throughout their evaluation and purchasing journey. The Simulation Sales Engineer will work closely with customer engineering teams, management stakeholders, and internal technical experts to help organizations leverage simulation-driven product development.
The role carries direct responsibility for revenue growth, pipeline generation, customer acquisition, account development, and business expansion for the Simulation portfolio. Success in this position requires building strong customer relationships, understanding engineering challenges, and demonstrating the business value of simulation technologies. The individual will be responsible for achieving assigned sales targets while driving growth from both existing customers and new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the revenue growth, business performance, pipeline generation, and market expansion of the Simulation portfolio within the assigned territory, ensuring achievement of assigned business targets.
- Develop and execute sales strategies and go-to-market plans aligned with internal growth objectives and OEM business goals.
- Develop business within existing accounts while identifying, qualifying, and acquiring new customers for simulation solutions.
- Engage with engineering teams, management stakeholders, procurement teams, and decision-makers to understand business and technical challenges and drive opportunities throughout the sales cycle.
- Promote and position simulation solutions based on customer requirements, applications, and business objectives.
- Conduct customer discovery meetings and identify opportunities for simulation adoption.
- Coordinate technical presentations, product demonstrations, workshops, and proof-of-concept activities with technical consultants.
- Develop account plans and manage opportunities throughout the sales cycle, from lead generation to order closure.
- Prepare commercial proposals, quotations, and solution recommendations.
- Build strong customer relationships and serve as a trusted advisor.
- Generate and maintain a healthy sales pipeline and execute territory plans to maximize market coverage and business growth.
- Maintain accurate opportunity tracking, forecasting, and reporting through CRM systems and provide regular business updates to management.
- Participate in seminars, webinars, industry events, and marketing initiatives to generate new business opportunities.
- Cultivate a deep understanding of assigned products and act as an evangelist for Simulation solutions while collaborating closely with sales, technical, and management teams to achieve business objectives.
- Travel as required across the assigned territory for customer meetings, workshops, seminars, and business development activities.
Skills Required
- Understanding of Engineering Simulation, CAE, FEA, CFD, Electromagnetic or Multiphysics simulation concepts.
- Familiarity with simulation solutions such as SIMULIA Abaqus, CST Studio Suite, 3DEXPERIENCE Simulation, Hypermesh, ANSYS, or similar platforms is preferred.

Experience Required
- 2 to 6 years of experience in Technical Sales, Engineering Software Sales, CAE Consulting, or related fields.
- Experience with Simulation, CAD, PLM, Engineering Software, or Digital Engineering solutions is preferred.
- Experience interacting with engineering, R&D, design, and product development teams is desirable.
- Experience in Simulation software sales will be considered a strong advantage.
Minimum Educational Qualification
BE/BTech or ME/MTech in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, or related disciplines.
