Job summary

Aptiv PLC in Bangalore, India is seeking a Simulation Engineer – SIL to develop and execute virtual validation environments for automotive embedded software. You will contribute to early-stage verification using model-based development and simulation frameworks.

Requirements include 5–8 years of experience, MATLAB/Simulink, Python and/or C++, and hands-on CAN/Ethernet with AUTOSAR basics. Location is Bangalore with a robust benefits package and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Radar Signal Processing and Object Tracking.
• Strong experience with MATLAB/Simulink.
• Proficiency in Python and/or C++.
• Understanding of embedded systems and AUTOSAR basics.
• Hands-on experience with CAN/Ethernet and CANoe.
• Familiar with JIRA, Git/Gerrit, MIL vs SIL workflows, Windows and Linux.

Responsibilities

• Develop simulation models and environments for automotive ECUs using embedded systems expertise.
• Optimize simulation performance and accuracy considering memory and real-time constraints.
• Build simulation models for MCU platforms like Renesas, Aurix, and S32.
• Use virtualization, emulation, and trace analysis to identify and fix issues.
• Develop simulation software using C and C++ for scalable implementations.
• Create and maintain simulation tools aligned with automotive processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align simulation with timelines, requirements, and quality standards.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Simulation Engineer – SIL to develop and execute virtual validation environments for embedded software. You will play a key role in early-stage verification using model-based development and simulation frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop simulation models and environments for automotive ECUs using embedded systems expertise.
• Optimize simulation performance and accuracy using microcontroller knowledge (memory, processing, real-time constraints).
• Build simulation models for specific MCU platforms like Renesas, Aurix, and S32, ensuring compatibility and scalability.
• Use tools like virtualization, emulation, and trace analysis to identify and fix simulation issues.
• Develop simulation software using C and C++ for efficient and scalable implementations.
• Create and maintain simulation tools aligned with automotive development processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align simulation with timelines, requirements, and quality standards.
