Job summary

Google Inc. is seeking a senior engineer to drive CPU validation for custom silicon powering Google’s direct-to-consumer products. The role involves developing test plans, debugging with cross-functional teams, and ensuring silicon health across platform and manufacturing teams.

The candidate will plan and execute validation tests for CPU subsystems and system-level integration, contributing to high-performance, efficient hardware experiences that power Google's services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or equivalent, practical experience on CPU validation.
• 8 years of experience in developing test and debug infrastructure.
• Experience with CPU architecture and debugging.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test procedures to establish functionality of the new Silicon.
• Debug failures with cross-functional teams for Silicon, Boards, Software, Manufacturing.
• Provide regular updates about Silicon health to platform, software and volume manufacturing teams.
• Plan, develop, and execute tests to validate CPU subsystem and integration at the system level.
• Support silicon debug and field failures.

• Experience with complex system debug, embedded operating systems and bare metal programming.
  


• Familiarity with CPU uArch and coherent fabric.
