Job summary

Primoris Canada is seeking a Side Boom Operator for outdoor, physically demanding work at CNRL Horizon Sustaining. The role involves operating a side boom and related equipment, moving materials, and performing pre-job inspections. Flights to site are provided from Edmonton and Calgary; camp accommodation is available; start date October 22, 2026.

Outdoor shift is 14/7, with an hourly rate of $50.05. Must have a valid operator’s card and 5+ years’ experience on industrial sites; CSO is required

Qualifications

• Must have a valid operator’s card for the equipment utilized
• Must have 5+ years' experience operating equipment on an industrial work site
• Experience working in tight spaces is considered an asset
• CSO required
• Must be physically able to lift 50lbs
• Able to work well in a team environment
• Organized and self-motivated

Responsibilities

• Comply with Company and Client Safety rules, as well as OH&S standards
• Operate side boom (and various other equipment as required) in a safe and effective manner
• Move materials/equipment, snow, and dirt
• Load/unload materials
• Complete pre-job equipment inspections
• Attend required safety and tailgate/toolbox meetings
• May perform other duties as assigned
