Dataction Analytics Private Limited in Pune, India, seeks an experienced Shopify Solution Consultant to lead the implementation of our next-gen digital commerce platform for courses, events, and digital offerings. You will own design and integration of Shopify with ERP, LMS, CRM, and analytics, delivering seamless customer experiences.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of enterprise eCommerce delivery, with 4+ years Shopify hands-on.

• Strong knowledge of Shopify APIs (REST/GraphQL), Webhooks, and app development.

• Experience with global commerce: multiple countries, currencies, localized taxation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end implementation of the Shopify-based Digital Commerce platform.
• Configure and customize Shopify to support courses, events, books, vouchers, replacement certificates, and other digital offerings.
• Extend Shopify capabilities through custom applications, APIs, and integrations where required.
• Design and implement integrations between Shopify and enterprise systems including NetSuite, Avalara, WorldPay, Canvas LMS, CRM, and Reporting.
• Define scalable integration architecture, API contracts, event-driven patterns, and error-handling.
• Support migration of the existing purchase journey to Shopify with minimal disruption.
• Configure multi-country commerce: currencies, pricing, taxation, promotions, regional rules.
• Work with stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Perform design reviews and recommend Shopify best practices.
• Ensure security, performance, and maintainability of the commerce solution.
• Support SIT, UAT, production deployment, and hypercare activities.

We are looking for an experienced Shopify Solution Consultant to lead the implementation of our next-generation digital commerce platform, delivering seamless customer experiences across course bookings, product sales, memberships, events, and related services while supporting global growth and operational efficiency.

The consultant will own the design and implementation of the customer commerce experience using Shopify and build secure, scalable integrations with enterprise systems. The role involves extending Shopify to support digital course sales, migrating the existing purchase journey onto Shopify, and integrating Shopify with downstream enterprise applications such as NetSuite, Avalara, payment gateways, LMS, CRM, and reporting platforms.

This is a hands-on consulting role requiring strong Shopify implementation experience, enterprise integration expertise, and the ability to collaborate with multiple business and technology stakeholders across the complete project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

While working in this exciting and challenging role alongside the team of experts:

• Lead the end-to-end implementation of the Shopify-based Digital Commerce platform
• Configure and customize Shopify to support courses, events, books, vouchers, replacement certificates, and other digital offerings.

  • NetSuite (Order Management, Finance, Inventory)
  • Avalara (Tax Calculation)
  • Payment Gateway (WorldPay or equivalent)
  • LMS (Canvas)
  • CRM & Notification platforms
  • Reporting & Analytics solutions
• Define scalable integration architecture, API contracts, event-driven communication patterns, and error-handling mechanisms
• Support migration of the existing purchase journey to Shopify while ensuring minimal business disruption
• Configure multi-country commerce capabilities including currencies, localized pricing, taxation, promotions, and regional business rules
• Work with business stakeholders to understand functional requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions
• Perform technical design reviews and recommend Shopify best practices and reusable solution patterns
• Ensure security, performance, scalability, and maintainability of the overall commerce solution
• Support SIT, UAT, production deployment, and hypercare activities.

Qualification, Skills and Experience

• 8+ years of experience delivering enterprise eCommerce solutions, with at least 4+ years of hands-on Shopify implementation experience
• Strong experience implementing Shopify or Shopify Plus for enterprise customers
• Experience customizing Shopify themes, checkout flows, apps, and commerce workflows
• Strong knowledge of Shopify APIs (REST, GraphQL), Webhooks, and Shopify App development.
• Experience integrating Shopify with ERP systems such as NetSuite or similar
• Experience integrating taxation platforms such as Avalara or similar
• Experience integrating payment gateways including WorldPay, Stripe or similar providers.
• Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns, middleware, REST APIs, event-driven architecture, and asynchronous messaging
• Experience designing secure and scalable API integrations
• Experience working with digital products, subscriptions, education platforms, or course commerce solutions would be highly desirable.
• Understanding of order management, pricing, taxation, promotions, inventory synchronization, and customer lifecycle processes
• Experience working with global commerce solutions supporting multiple countries, currencies, and localized taxation.
• Strong knowledge of API testing, JSON, OAuth, authentication mechanisms, and integration troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Jira, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile delivery methodologies.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to work across business and technical teams
• Experience working in distributed/onshore-offshore delivery models
• Well acquainted with Agile way of working and onsite-offshore model.
• Bachelor of computer/IT engineering or similar (BCS, BCA, MCS etc.).
• Open and innovative mindset with keenness to learn new skills.
