Job summary

Michell Bearings Inc. is seeking an Engineer-Production (Shift Supervisor/ Production Engineer) to manage production activities on the assigned shift.

The candidate should have 7–16 years of experience in engineering or automotive industries with exposure to custom production and strong leadership abilities.

Qualifications

• B.E. in Mechanical Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical (specific years mentioned)
• 7–16 years experience in engineering/automotive with custom production
• Experience in supervising CNC/VMC/HMC/VTL and shop floor coordination

Responsibilities

• Oversee CNC/VMC/HMC/VTL machining on shift and coordinate shop floor activities to hit targets.
• Ensure adherence to manufacturing routes, BOMs, and production standards.
• Allocate manpower effectively and monitor operator performance.
• Monitor productivity, control rejections, and minimize downtime.
• Ensure quality standards and support in-process inspections.
• Enforce safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
• Coordinate with Planning, Maintenance, and Quality for smooth operations.
• Prepare and submit shift production reports and maintain documentation.
• Address shift-level operational issues and escalate as needed to management.
