Job summary

Natural Plant Protection Limited in Bengaluru is seeking an experienced Fermentation Operations Lead to coordinate and optimize fermentation processes for quality products. You will manage 25L to 50KL fermenters, ensure SOP adherence, and drive continuous improvements.

You will lead a production team, collaborate with planning, maintenance and R&D to improve efficiency, tackle contamination issues, and prepare management reports.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of fermentation industry experience required.
• Knowledge of TQM and problem solving.
• Experience leading production operators and managing schedules.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and optimize fermentation operations for cost-effective production.
• Foster a safety-conscious, continuous improvement culture.
• Oversee fermentation processes and SOP adherence for 25L to 50KL fermenters.
• Demonstrate experience in microbial/biochemical fermentation.
• Apply TQM principles and drive process optimization and continuous improvements.
• Lead and motivate production teams, ensuring proper training and equipment.
• Collaborate with production planning to develop feasible schedules.
• Coordinate with maintenance for routine equipment upkeep.
• Collaborate with R&D to optimize fermentation processes and yields.
• Identify and troubleshoot microbial contamination issues and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare regular production performance reports and improvement strategies.
• Prepare/review SOPs, preventive maintenance plans, and doc management.
• Handle shift scheduling, manpower planning, reporting, and shift operations.
• Plan contracts/service provider manpower and activities.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

1. This role involves coordinating and optimizing fermentation operations to ensure the efficient and cost-effective production of high-quality products.
2. 2. Foster a positive and safety-conscious work environment, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
3. 3. Oversee and manage the entire fermentation process, ensuring adherence to established protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs), Hands on experience to handle 25L to 50KL fermenters.
4. 4. Proven experience in fermentation production, with a focus on microbial or biochemical processes.
5. 5. Familiarity with TQM methodology, process optimization and continuous improvements.
6. 6. Drive the TQM implementation, drive with coordination of central team.
7. 7. Lead and motivate a team of production operators, ensuring they are properly trained and equipped to perform their duties.
8. 8. Collaborate with the production planning team to develop and execute production schedules that meet product demand while considering resource availability and equipment constraints.
9. 9. Collaborate with the maintenance team to schedule and perform routine maintenance on fermentation equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal functionality.
10. 10. Collaborate with the R&D team to optimize fermentation processes, improving efficiency and yield.
11. 11. Identify and troubleshoot issues related to microbial contamination, proposing, and implementing corrective actions.
12. 12. Prepare regular reports for management, summarizing production performance and suggesting strategies for improvement.
13. 13. Preparation/Review of SOP, Preventive Maintenance schedule/planner, Documentation etc.
14. 14. Shift scheduling, Manpower planning, reporting & Shift operations.

Preferred candidate profile:

• Male candidate only with experience of 4-6 Years experience from Fermentation industry
• Knowledge on TQM & problem solving
