• Control furnace operating parameters, including temperature, voltage, current and power consumption.
• Ensure proper raw material charging, melting and alloy production.
• Achieve shift-wise production targets while maintaining product quality.
• Allocate duties to furnace operators, supervisors, helpers and other shift staff.
• Coordinate with the control room, electrical and mechanical maintenance teams.
• Identify operational abnormalities and take corrective action to minimize downtime.
• Maintain shift production reports, furnace logs, manpower records and consumption data.
• Ensure compliance with plant safety procedures, SOPs and PPE requirements.
• Conduct shift handover and communicate production or maintenance issues to the incoming team.
