Job summary

Dalmia Bharat Group is seeking an electrical maintenance professional for the Visakhapatnam plant. The role ensures rapid downtime minimization, coordination with maintenance during shutdowns, and safe shutdown/startup execution aligned with production plans.

The incumbent focuses on preventive maintenance, digitization of processes, and developing the team to sustain long-term plant performance.

Qualifications

• Attend to breakdowns onsite with rapid response to minimize downtime.

• Plan shutdown/startup activities and safely implement shutdown and emergency procedures with minimum downtime.
• Develop the team and update knowledge to meet organizational needs.
• Focus on digitization and automation of processes to improve efficiency.

Job description

1. Financial Attend to breakdowns onsite ensuring that there is always a rapid response and that plant equipment and machinery breakdown time is minimized. Always endeavor to reduce downtime of the electrical equipments in the plant Take initiatives to drive growth for DBSIL at the plant level and ensure sustained growth in line with long-term and short-term objectives of the organization2. Customer Co-ordinate with Maintenance department of the distillery during shut downs Ensure all Health and Safety standards are met, and that all equipment complies with Company and legal standards3. Operations Undertake planning of Shut down and start up activity and safely implement shutdown & emergency activities with minimum down time in safe manner Carry out repairs to electrical equipment during production, effectively and efficiently, either alone and/or as part of a team Maintain the engineering working area and control desk in a good condition always and maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed Plan and execute manufacturing as per production schedule Ensure safe plant operations Record and keep a logbook of the work completed. They are responsible for maintaining complete and accurate operational records in order to document performance. Prepare preventive maintenance schedules ensure all equipment and designated areas are maintained and making all reports Schedule and execute preventive maintenance of all engineering equipments Monitor fire Alarm / Life Safety System systems as necessary, to be fully informed of the system operation and to handle emergencies involving the systems Ensure initiation and sensitization of the employees towards digitization and automation of the processes Focus on utilization of advanced business analytics tools to derive key insights critical for the success of the organization4. Self/ Team Development Review and monitor performance of team members and provide requisite developmental support/ inputs Recommend training as required for team s development Develop the team and update their knowledge base to cater the organization need Strategize avenues for enhancing employee satisfaction in the function, resulting in high engagement levels of employees
