Job description

1. Shift operations Monitor & achieve shift production by maintaining operational discipline viz. rolling parameters, furnace controlling, resource management etc.Responsible for administration and manpower planning in the shiftEnsure targeted production is achieved, in case of any deviation, identify the root cause, and take corrective and preventive action to avoid recurrence on daily basisControl delays by coordinating within & outside the department in the shiftMaintain & control the process parameters and follow the work instructions in the plantMaintain yield and the inventory within normsEnsure real time data entry in the system & production entry data in SAPEnsure there is no mismatch between Physical v/s SAP stockCollect information from the previous shift in-charge about the problems that occurred in the shiftEnsure effective utilization of manpower, machines and other resources in shiftEnsure active involvement in preparation and execution of different certification auditIdentify the cost reduction and improvement area and discuss with HOD for necessary implementationCheck the raw material stock and issue from store if necessary. Report to the HOD about production and problems in the shiftEnsure implementation of various systems related with Safety, TPM, Quality, Productivity, Maintenance etc.Ensure safe working practices and ensure proper housekeeping & zero accident during the shiftTake initiatives to drive growth for DCBL and ensure sustained growth in line with long-term and short-term objectives of the organizationEnsure initiation and sensitization of the employees towards digitization and automation of the processesFocus on utilization of advanced business analytics tools to derive key insights critical for the success of the organization2. Self/ Team Development Review and monitor performance of team members� and provide requisite developmental support/ inputsRecommend training as required for team�s developmentDevelop the team and update their knowledge base to cater the organization needStrategize avenues for enhancing employee satisfaction in the function, resulting in high engagement levels of employees
