Responsibilities

  • Set up Standard Operating Procedures for management of critical environment and ensure site compliance.
  • Understand engineering design and operational aspects of utility systems and equipment.
  • Recognize system shortcomings and respond to operational and emergency situations.
  • Ensure Planned Preventive Maintenance activities are undertaken per schedule.
  • Manage Risk and Safety practices to minimize interruptions.
  • Adhere to EHS/HSSE guidelines and ensure vendor compliance.
  • Inspect facility for energy conservation, maintenance and risk management.
  • Implement preventive maintenance to reduce sudden equipment failures.
  • Provide training to on-site teams on equipment procedures.
  • Support service delivery teams on equipment maintenance.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure procedures are followed and updated.
  • Communicate incidents and operational issues to management.
  • Seek management support when needed; follow reporting per JLL standards.
  • Ensure building compliance checks and records are maintained.
  • Maintain Log Book, PPM Reports, Check Lists onsite.
  • Monitor ad-hoc jobs and minor projects.
  • Contribute to development of best practices and training materials.

Shift Engineer Technical Work Dynamics
What this job involves:
  • Set up Standard Operating Procedures for the management of the critical environment and ensure compliance at site.
  • Understand the engineering design and operational aspects of the utility systems and equipment at location.
  • Must be able to recognize system shortcomings and respond to operational and emergency situations.
  • Ensure Planned Preventive Maintenance activities are undertaken in accordance with the schedule.
  • Ensure the implementation and management of Risk and Safety work practices to reduce any interruption to operations.
  • Strictly adhere to EHS or HSSE guidelines by self and ensure that vendor team members to do so as well.
  • Implement regular inspections of the facility on energy conservation, maintenance practices, utility management and risk management procedures.
  • Implement the preventive maintenance program to reduce the risk of sudden failures of critical equipment.
  • Provide training to on‑site teams on equipment procedures and implementation.
  • Support service delivery teams on equipment maintenance and upkeep.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure that the procedures are being followed and updated as required.
  • Communicate to all site staff and concern managers on all incidents and all‑important operational related issues.
  • Seek management support when requires assistance, guidance, and approval.
  • Adhere to the reporting procedures as per JLL standards and requirements.
  • Ensure building compliance are checked for site and records maintained.
  • Ensure Log Book, PPM Reports, Check Lists maintained on site.
  • Monitor adhoc jobs and minor project work.
  • Actively participate in the development of best practices, training materials, operations manual chapters, standardized tools.
  • MIS Reporting including Daily/Weekly/Monthly report, MMR preparation, PO PR Tracking, SLA tracking.

You should be mobile and capable of working anywhere because you will perform daily check‑ins around the facility to ensure high standards. Whatever mix‑ups or jams that you spot, you should be quick to figure out the best repairs. Your input and ideas will be sought to help steer the team in directions that help make the facility perform at its best.

A typical day for you also involves contact with vendors—reviewing their services and coordinating with them for the resolution of any service issues.

To apply you need to have:
  • Core facilities management skills.
  • If you’re a graduate or diploma in Electrical Engineering, you will most likely to qualify for this role. You should also have facilities experience 4-6 years if graduate else 6-10 years post diploma. It would be great if you have tertiary qualifications in facilities management, building management and/or business.
