Job summary

Edwards Lifesciences is expanding its global technology capabilities with a new IT Innovation Hub in Pune, India. The Hub advances digital capabilities like automation, data, AI, and cloud, and includes roles spanning end user services, application development, and enterprise platform teams.

You will design, develop, and implement scalable Salesforce solutions (Apex, LWC, Flows), collaborating with architects and stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable systems.

• Bachelor's or higher degree in CS, Engineering, IS, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement scalable Salesforce solutions using Apex, LWC, Flows, and integration patterns.
• Serve as the technical developer for Salesforce projects, ensuring alignment with security and governance.
• Follow established development standards to improve code quality, performance, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with Business Systems Analysts, Product Owners, Architects, QA, and stakeholders to translate requirements.
• Support solution design discussions and provide technical guidance through the SDLC.
• Assist integrations between Salesforce and enterprise apps using APIs, middleware, and event-driven architectures.
• Ensure platform reliability, scalability, security, and governance adherence.
• Drive adoption of Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, and automated testing.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and lead during incident resolution.
• Identify opportunities to optimize applications using Salesforce capabilities and emerging tech.
• Provide coaching and knowledge transfer to team members.

Designed as a long-term investment, the Pune Hub will advance newer digital capabilities such as automation, data, AI, and cloud, and will include roles spanning end user services, application development, and enterprise platform teams. How you’ll make an impact:

• Support design, develop, and implement scalable Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, and Salesforce platform capabilities.
• Serve as the technical developer for Salesforce projects and enhancements, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture, security standards, and best practices.
• Follow establish development standards to improve code quality, maintainability, and platform performance.
• Collaborate with Business Systems Analysts, Product Owners, Architects, QA teams, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Support solution design discussions and provide technical guidance throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Support integrations between Salesforce and enterprise applications using APIs, middleware platforms, and event-driven architectures.
• Ensure platform reliability, scalability, security, and compliance with established governance standards.
• Drive adoption of Agile delivery practices, DevOps processes, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and provide leadership during critical incident resolution.
• Identify opportunities to optimize existing applications and processes through Salesforce platform capabilities and emerging technologies.
• Provide coaching, training, and knowledge transfer to team members while supporting career development and technical growth.

What you’ll need (Required):

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Salesforce development and solution delivery.
• Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II.
• Strong expertise in:
  • Apex
  • Lightning Web Components (LWC)
  • Salesforce Flows
  • SOQL/SOSL
  • Salesforce APIs and Integration Patterns
  • Sales Cloud
  • Service Cloud
• Experience with Git-based source control and CI/CD deployment methodologies.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong understanding of Salesforce security model, sharing rules, profiles, permission sets, and governance.
• Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional global teams and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience performing code reviews, solution reviews, release planning, and technical estimations.

What else we look for (Preferred):

• Experience with Copado, Gearset, GitHub, JIRA, BitBucket.
• Proven experience integrating Salesforce with ERP platforms, SAS-based applications, and external customer-facing systems using APIs, middleware, and integration best practices.
• Experience supporting global implementations across multiple business units and geographies.
• Experience in highly regulated industries such as Medical Devices, Healthcare, Pharmaceuticals, or Life Sciences.
• Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence technical direction and drive adoption of best practices.
• Experience with AI capabilities within Salesforce ecosystem, including Agentforce, Einstein AI, and predictive automation.
