Job summary

Astound Digital is seeking a QA Engineer to join a high-performance QA team focused on Salesforce Core (Sales Cloud) solutions. You will own testing across the SDLC within an Agile framework, solving technical challenges and driving quality.

Collaborative, global work is emphasized, with opportunities to advance through certifications and training. The role requires 3–5 years of testing experience, strong Jira/Zephyr/Confluence skills, and excellent English communication.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of software testing experience, with at least 3 years specifically on Salesforce Core (Sales Cloud).
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Proficient with JIRA, Confluence, and Zephyr or similar test management tools.
• Salesforce Certified Sales Cloud Consultant preferred.
• Strong written and verbal English communication for global collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business, functional, and technical specs for Salesforce Core (Sales Cloud) solutions.
• Create test cases and scenarios in JIRA/Zephyr ensuring full requirements coverage.
• Execute planned test cases across desktop, mobile, and tablet environments.
• Conduct testing for third-party services and external components within Salesforce ecosystem.
• Log bugs, manage defect lifecycle, and verify fixes.
• Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and QA risk discussions.
• Estimate effort and report test results and quality status to stakeholders.
• Propose QA process improvements with QA Lead and PMs.

Job Purpose

The QA Engineer will be part of a high-performance, feature-driven QA team responsible for building and testing complex Salesforce Core solutions. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of solving technical challenges, taking ownership of quality objectives, and driving testing excellence throughout the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) within an Agile framework.

Key Responsibilities

• Requirements Analysis: Analyze business, functional, and technical specifications for Salesforce Core (Sales Cloud) solutions.
• Test Planning & Design: Create comprehensive test cases and scenarios in JIRA/Zephyr to ensure full requirements coverage.
• Test Execution: Execute planned test cases across desktop, mobile, and tablet environments, ensuring rigorous validation.
• Integration Testing: Conduct rigorous testing for third-party services and external components within the Salesforce ecosystem.
• Defect Management: Log detailed bug reports in tracking systems, manage the defect lifecycle, and perform thorough retesting and verification of fixes.
• Collaboration & Agile Participation: Actively participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and brainstorming sessions to address technical issues and quality risks.
• Estimation & Reporting: Provide accurate effort estimations for tasks and maintain clear, consistent test results and quality status reporting for stakeholders.
• Process Improvement: Propose and implement enhancements to QA-related procedures, tools, and systems in collaboration with the QA Lead and Project Managers.

Qualifications And Skills

• Experience: 3–5 years of professional software testing experience, with at least 3 years specifically focused on testing Salesforce Core (Sales Cloud) platforms.
• Methodologies: Hands-on experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Tool Proficiency: Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and Zephyr or similar test management tools.
• Core Competencies: Strong background in requirements analysis, test execution, bug lifecycle management, and testing effort estimation.
• Preferred Certification: Salesforce Certified Sales Cloud Consultant.
• Soft Skills: Strong team player with high adaptability to dynamic environments and intermediate-to-advanced written and verbal English communication skills for effective global collaboration.
