Job summary

Perficient is seeking a Technical Architect in Pune to provide technology direction and ensure project implementation compliance. You will identify best-fit architectural solutions across projects, mentor junior architects, and collaborate with talent across the organization to deliver high‑quality ITOM/ITSM solutions.

The role emphasizes hands-on development, CMDB governance, and integrations with Splunk, Dynatrace, and ServiceNow. Travel may be required as part of client engagements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of programming experience.
• 3+ years in technology consulting, enterprise and solutions architecture.
• 7+ years of experience with the ServiceNow Platform (ITSM/ITOM).
• 2+ years of experience with ITOM.
• Experience defining new architectures and driving projects from an architectural standpoint.
• Experience in complete project life cycle activities on development and maintenance projects.
• Knowledge of agile development methodologies.
• Strong client relationship building and practice development skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with both technical and non‑technical staff.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement ITSM/ITOM solutions including discovery, event management, and cloud discovery.
• Design and manage MID Server estates across datacenters and clouds.
• Hands-on development of probes, sensors, integration spokes, and APIs.
• Govern CMDB governance and modeling, data quality checks.
• Integrate with monitoring sources and ticketing systems; design event ingestion and correlation flows.
• Lead upgrade assessments, performance tuning, and regression validation for ITOM components.

Job Overview:

The Technical Architect provides technology direction, ensures project implementation compliance, and utilizes technology research to innovate, integrate, and manage technology solutions. As a Technology Architect, you will significantly contribute to identifying best-fit architectural solutions for one or more projects; you will collaborate with some of the best talent in the industry to create and implement innovative high quality solutions, participate in Sales and various pursuits focused on our clients' business needs. This role is considered part of the Business Unit Leadership team and may mentor Junior Architects and /or development team members.

Responsibilities

• Architect & implement ITSM/ITOM solutions: Discovery (probes/sensors), Service Mapping, Event Management, Orchestration, and Cloud Discovery.
• MID Server strategy & ops: design, deploy, secure, scale, and troubleshoot MID Server estates across datacenters, clouds, and network zones.
• Hands‑on development: build Discovery probes, sensors, transform maps, IntegrationHub spokes, orchestrations, scripted REST APIs, business rules, and scoped apps.
• CMDB governance & modeling: design CI models, reconciliation rules, normalization, and data quality checks to ensure reliable service topology.
• Integrations & observability: integrate with monitoring/event sources (e.g., Splunk, Dynatrace, ServiceWatch), ticketing systems, and cloud APIs; design event ingestion and correlation flows.
• Upgrade & performance readiness: lead upgrade assessments, compatibility fixes, performance tuning, and regression validation for ITOM components.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of programming experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in technology consulting, enterprise and solutions architecture and architectural frameworks.
• At least 7 years of experience with the ServiceNow Platform (ITSM/ITOM)
• At least 2 years of experience with the ITOM
• Experience in defining new architectures and ability to drive an independent project from an architectural stand point.
• Experience in complete project life cycle activities on development and maintenance projects.
• Knowledge and experience in developing software using agile methodologies.
• Proven track record of technical leadership roles delivering solutions within defined timeframes.
• Skilled in building relationships with clients and in practice development activities.
• Demonstrated success in performing work and managing complex and/or large consulting projects.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Must be open to travel.

Preferred Skills and Education:

• Experience working with a globally distributed team and managing off-shore teams.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Certification in (Insert technologies).
• Experience with authoring, editing and presenting technical documents.
