Job summary

Perficient is seeking a Lead Technical Consultant to join our team across Hyderabad/Bengaluru/Chennai/Pune/Nagpur. You will participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from estimating and design to implementation, testing, deployment and support of applications developed for our clients.

As a member working in a team environment you will work with solution architects and developers on interpretation/translation of wireframes and creative designs into functional requirements,

Qualifications

• Developed and maintained automated API test frameworks using Java, Spring Boot, and Rest Assured.
• Designed and executed backend API testing for payment processing and transaction workflows.
• Validated REST APIs using Postman for functional, regression, and integration testing.
• Authored and optimized SQL queries to validate backend data, payment records, and database integrity.
• Tested payment lifecycle scenarios, including transaction authorization, settlement, reversals, and exception handling.
• Developed reusable automation utilities and test libraries to improve test coverage and reduce execution time.
• Performed end-to-end backend validation by comparing API responses with database records.
• Integrated automated API test suites into the CI/CD pipeline for continuous testing.
• Identified, analyzed, and reported defects while collaborating with developers and business analysts.
• Participated in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand‑ups, and retrospectives.
• Reviewed API contracts, business requirements, and technical specifications to design effective test scenarios.
• Conducted regression, smoke, and sanity testing prior to production releases.
• Created detailed test reports and execution metrics to communicate test status and release readiness.
• Collaborated with cross‑functional teams to ensure high-quality delivery of secure and reliable payment solutions.
