Job summary

Siemens is seeking an experienced Service Engineer – Switchyard & Plant Utilities O&M in Bangalore to own electrical O&M tasks for 132 kV and above equipment. The role demands hands-on experience, leadership of on-site teams, and strong adherence to EHS standards.

The candidate will manage operation, maintenance planning, and troubleshooting of plant utilities, Transformers, HT/LT panels, and related systems, ensuring reliability and compliance across sites.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering is mandatory.
• 5–8 years of relevant O&M experience in switchyards and plant utilities.
• Valid Electrical Supervisory License from CEIG required.
• Hands-on experience with 132 kV or above switchyard equipment.
• Willingness to lead on-site maintenance teams and coordinate with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot plant utilities and electrical systems.
• Lead the site maintenance team and ensure timely completion.
• Coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance activities.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Electrical O&M professional with 5–8 years of hands‑on experience in plant utilities and 132 kV or above switchyard operations and maintenance. The role involves technical ownership of electrical and utility systems, troubleshooting, maintenance planning, team leadership and ensuring compliance with EHS and site requirements.

Key Technical Responsibilities

• Ensure reliable operation and availability of electrical and utility systems.
• Diagnose equipment breakdowns and coordinate corrective maintenance activities.
• Ensure maintenance activities are carried out safely and in accordance with applicable standards and procedures.

Team & Site Responsibilities

• Lead the site maintenance team and provide technical guidance.
