Siemens Mobility in Pune seeks an experienced Engineer – Plant Utilities & Electrical O&M to lead operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of plant switchyards, HT/LT electrical systems and related utility equipment.

Requires BE/B.Tech in Electrical Engineering with 4–6 years' hands-on O&M experience and a mandatory CEIG Electrical Supervisory License; Marathi/Hindi/English communication is expected on site.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain and troubleshoot plant switchyards and utility systems.

• Plan daily maintenance activities and monitor KPIs.
• Conduct RCA for breakdowns and prepare customer reports.
• Ensure safe, preventive and corrective maintenance per EHS standards.
• Lead maintenance team and ensure 5S at site.

Position: Engineer – Plant Utilities & Electrical O&M

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer with 4–6 years of hands‑on experience in plant utility operations and maintenance. The role will be responsible for the operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of plant switchyards, HT/LT electrical systems and utility equipment, along with team leadership, EHS compliance, KPI monitoring and site coordination.

Qualification & Experience

• B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering with 4–6 years of relevant experience in operation and maintenance of plant utility equipment.
• Valid Electrical Supervisory License from CEIG is mandatory.
• Hands‑on experience in plant switchyard and electrical utility maintenance.
• Good understanding of EHS requirements and procedures applicable to service projects and service businesses.

Key Technical Responsibilities

• Operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of plant switchyard and utility systems.
• Maintenance of Air Compressors, Dryers, Chillers, LPG/HSD Yard, HT/LT Panels, APFC Panels, and other plant utility equipment.
• Plan and monitor daily maintenance activities.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) of breakdowns and prepare reports for the customer.
• Monitor and plan spares and critical maintenance requirements.
• Monitor site KPIs and implement corrective actions to achieve targets.
• Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance activities are executed safely and efficiently.

Team & Site Responsibilities

• Lead the maintenance team and demonstrate effective site leadership.
• Conduct skill mapping of team members and identify development requirements.
• Ensure 5S is maintained across the work area.
• Ensure adherence to EHS standards and safety procedures at site.
• Prepare MIS reports and ISO documentation.
• Coordinate and monitor site commercial activities.
• Monitor and coordinate site HR‑related activities.

Preferred Candidate Background

Candidates from the following industries/backgrounds are preferred:

• Facility Management / O&M companies handling Chillers and Plant Utilities
• Automobile and Automotive Ancillary manufacturing plants
• 220 kV Switchyard operations and maintenance
• Data Center Utility Maintenance

Language Requirements

Marathi, Hindi and English – candidates should be comfortable communicating with site teams and customers in the required languages.
