Job summary

DELTA in India is seeking a UPS Service Engineer to install, commission, maintain, and repair UPS systems and related electrical equipment at client sites, ensuring uninterrupted power supply for critical operations. The role requires field travel, on-site diagnostics, and prompt preventive and corrective maintenance.

You will diagnose faults, perform replacements, and implement upgrades while communicating findings to clients and coordinating with the service team.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in electrical/electronic engineering required.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems and power electronics.
• Hands-on UPS maintenance, installation, and field service experience.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission UPS systems at client sites.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on UPS and related equipment.
• Diagnose faults and perform on-site repairs including component replacements.
• Travel to client sites and provide timely service within SLA.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to clients and internal teams.
• Support service projects and promote safe, compliant operations.

Role & responsibilities

A UPS Service Engineer is responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of UPS systems and associated electrical equipment.

This role is critical in ensuring uninterrupted power supply for businesses and institutions that rely on continuous operations.

• Education: Diploma or bachelors in electrical/Electronic Engineering.
• Technical Skills:
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems and power electronics.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting, equipment maintenance, and system diagnostics.
  • Hands on experience in handling PQ Analyser, Imagers, etc.
  • Thorough knowledge of UPS and batteries both VRLA and LIB
• Capable to handle service and Projects
• Client Interaction, Soft Skills, and Operational requirements
  • Effective communication and customer service orientation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel and work flexible hours.
  • Two-wheeler (for field mobility) may be required in some roles.
  • Must adhere to health and safety regulations and company standards.
  • Occasional overnight stays may be required
  • Field-based role with travel to client sites.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to clients and internal teams.
