Job summary

Infozeb Consultancy Private Limited is seeking a hands-on Service Engineer to install, commission, test, and maintain EV charging stations and BESS systems at customer sites. You will diagnose issues, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and provide strong on-site support to ensure reliable operation.

The role requires minimum 2 years of relevant experience, good understanding of electrical systems, and willingness to travel to project locations.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of electrical and electronic systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Experience with EV chargers/BESS is preferred.
• Willingness to travel for on-site service.
• Strong troubleshooting and customer-handling skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, test, and maintain EV charging stations and BESS systems.
• On-site troubleshooting of electrical, electronic, communication, and power-system faults.
• Diagnose and resolve charger alarms, error codes, hardware faults, and system failures.
• Troubleshoot power circuits, contactors, relays, breakers, sensors, SMPS, and control circuits.
• Diagnose communication interfaces (CAN, RS485, Modbus, Ethernet).
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of installed systems.
• Prepare service, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting reports.
• Travel to customer/project locations as required.

Infozeb Consultancy Private Limited is working in the rapidly growing EV Charging and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) sector. Our work includes development, installation, commissioning, testing, maintenance, troubleshooting, and deployment of EV charging infrastructure and energy-storage systems. We are looking for a hands-on Service Engineer who can take ownership of installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and customer support.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, commission, test, and maintain EV charging stations and BESS systems.
• Perform on-site troubleshooting of electrical, electronic, communication, and power-system faults.
• Diagnose and resolve charger alarms, error codes, hardware faults, and system failures.
• Troubleshoot AC/DC power circuits, contactors, relays, breakers, sensors, cooling systems, SMPS, and control circuits.
• Diagnose communication issues involving CAN, RS485, Modbus, Ethernet, and other interfaces.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of installed systems.
• Use multimeter, clamp meter, insulation tester, oscilloscope, and power analyzer for troubleshooting.
• Analyze fault logs and operating parameters to identify root causes.
• Perform installation and commissioning at customer/project sites.
• Provide technical support and assistance to customers.
• Coordinate with hardware, firmware, software, and engineering teams for complex technical issues.
• Provide field feedback to the product-development team.
• Prepare service, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting reports.
• Maintain service records and ensure timely closure of customer complaints.
• Conduct preventive-maintenance inspections.
• Travel to customer/project locations as required.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 2 years of relevant industry experience.
• Strong knowledge of electrical and electronic systems.
• Good understanding of AC and DC power systems.
• Strong hands-on troubleshooting experience.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Knowledge of contactors, relays, MCB/MCCB, fuses, SPD, sensors, SMPS, power supplies, power electronics, and control circuits.
• Basic knowledge of EV chargers/EVSE and BESS systems.
• CAN, RS485, Modbus, and Ethernet knowledge is an advantage.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and customer-handling skills.
• Willingness to travel for installation, commissioning, and service activities.
• Direct EV charger or BESS service experience is highly preferred.
