Job summary

GTT is seeking a Service Assurance Engineer to join our global network operations team from Pune, India. The role focuses on troubleshooting network issues, incident ownership, and maintaining a high-performing, resilient network environment.

You will own incidents through to resolution, perform validation and escalation, and collaborate with customers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure service stability. Remote work is supported with extended business hours.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a Telco or service provider environment.
• Strong troubleshooting and fault-diagnosis skills.
• Experience with SD-WAN, Security, and SASE technologies.
• Knowledge of BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, and EIGRP.
• Experience with VLANs, STP, and LACP (Layer 2).
• Knowledge of MPLS, L2VPN, and L3VPN services.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Service Assurance Engineer

At GTT , our Service Assurance Team manages and maintains GTT's international network, delivering exceptional support to customers worldwide. As a Service Assurance Engineer , you will be responsible for troubleshooting network issues, managing incidents through resolution, and ensuring a stable, resilient, and high-performing network environment.

What You'll Be Doing

• Provide break/fix support across GTT's global network.
• Own and drive incidents through to successful resolution.
• Perform technical validation, troubleshooting, and escalation management.
• Work closely with customers, vendors, and internal teams to resolve service issues.
• Configure network devices and support service migrations.
• Proactively identify recurring issues and drive preventative actions.
• Maintain accurate documentation and customer communications.
• Ensure operational procedures and best practices are followed.

What We're Looking For

Essential

• 2+ years of experience in a Telco, Service Provider, or similar environment.
• Strong troubleshooting and fault-diagnosis skills.
• Experience with SD-WAN, Security, and SASE technologies.
• Good understanding of BGP, OSPF, ISIS, and EIGRP.
• Experience with Layer 2 technologies, including VLANs, STP, and LACP.
• Knowledge of MPLS, L2VPN, and L3VPN services.
• Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have

• Cisco IOS and hardware experience.
• Juniper JUNOS experience.
• Certifications such as CCNA, JNCNA, Fortinet FCA, or Palo Alto PCNSA/PCCSA.
• Experience in a NOC or Service Operations environment.
