Job summary

Vecmocon in Maharashtra seeks an experienced technician to diagnose, service, and repair electric scooters, including battery systems and controllers. The role requires hands-on repair skills and adherence to safety standards.

You will perform routine maintenance, document service records, and assist the operations team to improve efficiency. Training will be provided to expand EV diagnostics knowledge.

Qualifications

• ITI/diploma in Electrical, Electronics or Automobile.
• 1+ year EV/auto repair experience.
• Ability to read manuals and schematics.
• Willingness to learn and train.

Responsibilities

Job description

ROLE

• – Diagnose, service, and repair electric scooters, including battery systems, controllers, wiring, motors, and mechanical components.
• – Conduct routine maintenance and safety checks to ensure optimal scooter performance.
• – Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot and resolve electrical and mechanical issues.
• – Maintain accurate service records, job cards, and parts inventory.
• – Collaborate with the technical and operations teams to improve service efficiency.
• – Adhere to company safety standards and procedures.
• – Educate customers on basic maintenance and scooter usage when required.

REQUIREMENTS

• – Minimum 1 year of experience in EV or automotive repair, preferably electric scooters or two-wheelers.
• – ITI, Diploma, or equivalent technical education in Electrical, Electronics, or Automobile Engineering.
• – Strong understanding of EV components such as motors, batteries, BMS, controllers, and wiring harnesses.
• – Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools.
• – Good communication skills and a problem‑solving mindset.
• – Willingness to learn new technologies and attend regular training sessions.
• – Preferred: Experience with multiple EV scooter brands.
• – Preferred: Familiarity with lithium‑ion battery systems and safety handling.
• – Preferred: Basic knowledge of IoT systems in electric vehicles.
• – Preferred: Two‑wheeler driving license.
• – Preferred: Own two‑wheeler for traveling to customer locations.
• – Preferred sources: Laptop, mobile repairing, charger repairing, ITI Electronics, EV OEMs, fleet maintenance.
