Job summary

Proponent Technologies in Dehradun invites a hands-on SEO Manager/Team Lead to own the SEO function and guide a team of SEOs, writers, and developers. You will set strategy, drive execution, and mentor the team toward improved organic performance.

The role requires leading from the front, making decisions, and taking responsibility for SEO outcomes while staying updated with industry trends. In-person work is expected.

• We are looking for a strong, hands-on SEO Manager / SEO Team Lead who can take complete ownership of our SEO function and lead a team of SEO Executives, Junior Content Writers, and Developers.
• This is not a role for someone who needs step-by-step instructions.
• We are looking for an all-rounder and independent problem solver who understands SEO deeply, can build strategies, execute them, identify what is not working, and guide the team toward better results.
• You should be someone who can lead from the front, make decisions, mentor the team, and take responsibility for SEO performance.

Key Responsibilities : -

• Lead and manage a team of SEOs, Junior Content Writers, and Developers.
• Develop and execute comprehensive SEO strategies aligned with business goals.
• Take ownership of technical SEO, on-page SEO, off-page SEO, content strategy, local SEO, and organic growth.
• Conduct detailed keyword research, competitor analysis, website audits, and SEO gap analysis.
• Plan and manage SEO roadmaps for multiple projects/websites.
• Work closely with content writers and developers to ensure SEO best practices are implemented correctly.
• Review and improve content strategies, briefs, internal linking, site structure, metadata, schema, and other SEO elements.
• Identify technical and content-related SEO issues and provide clear solutions to the development and content teams.
• Monitor rankings, organic traffic, conversions, backlinks, and other important SEO KPIs.
• Analyze performance using tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, and similar platforms.
• Stay updated with Google algorithm updates, search trends, AI search, AEO/GEO, and evolving SEO practices.
• Set targets, review team performance, and ensure timely execution of SEO strategies.
• Train, mentor, and guide junior team members to improve their technical and strategic capabilities.
• Take initiative and continuously identify opportunities for organic growth and process improvement.

What Were Looking For : -

• 6+ years of hands-on SEO experience, preferably with experience managing a team.
• Strong understanding of technical SEO + content SEO + off-page SEO.
• Proven ability to independently develop and execute SEO strategies.
• Experience working with developers and content teams.

• Ability to identify problems and provide solutions without waiting for instructions.
