Job summary

India Nippon Electricals is seeking a senior sensor architect to define system-level sensor architectures for automotive and non-automotive segments. You will analyze sensor interfaces for customer requirements in line with ISO26262 and define wiring harness diagrams with safety considerations.

You will lead DFMEA/FTA activities, capture customer requirements with HW/SW teams, and develop interfaces for integration, testing, and data analysis.

Qualifications

• 10-15 years of experience in algorithm development, embedded systems, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of microcontroller architecture and its application in automotive industry.

Responsibilities

• Define system-level sensor architecture for automotive and non-automotive segments.
• Feasibility analysis of sensor interface and design as per customer requirements and ISO26262.
• Defining terminal diagram/ wiring harness diagram with relevant safety mechanism (Integrated coupler, Case, etc).
• Conducting system-level DFMEA & FTA.
• Capturing system-level requirements received from the customer and implementing them in coordination with HW/SW.
• Design and develop the hardware and software interfaces to integrate the system, instrumenting and troubleshooting system components for testing, analysing test data, and recommending solutions for test failures.
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers, firmware developers, product management and manufacturing operations for developing and supporting the integration of electronic and electrical systems.
• working with sensor element suppliers and choosing the right sensor element for different sensor applications. Work with the purchase team for the costing of the sensor elements and other child parts.
• System-level testing and validation of the product, both on the test bench and the vehicle.
• Market research of different sensor technologies and applications in the Automotive and non-Automotive industry, and define a roadmap for Sensor products for the organisation.
• Writing and delivering technical documents and briefings to various audiences.
• EMC/EMI design practices and the relevant validation testing
• Optimisation of Sensor designs to meet the target BoM cost. Working with the purchase teams for BoM cost optimisation.
• Project Planning and execution to meet customer and internal schedules.
