Job summary

Delaplex is seeking an experienced Senior Workday Functional Specialist with 6–8 years of HRIS‑focused Workday expertise to design, configure, and support end‑to‑end Workday solutions including Core HCM, Payroll, Time Tracking, and Absence Management.

You will work with cross‑functional teams to align business processes, security, and reporting, ensuring accurate payroll calculations and seamless integrations across modules.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of hands‑on Workday configuration, implementation or support, spanning HCM, WFM and Payroll.
• Deep knowledge of Workday Core HCM, Payroll, Time Tracking and Absence Management.
• Solid understanding of Workday BP framework, domain security, and PECI/payroll interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, configuration and enhancement of Workday Core HCM, Payroll (US/Global), Time Tracking, and Absence Management.
• Configure complex time entry rules, overtime rules, work schedules, holiday calendars and accrual plans; build integrations between Time/Absence and Payroll.
• Set up payroll earnings/deductions, tax setup, run payroll calculations and audit reconciliations.
• Oversee business process configurations across the employee lifecycle, org structures, job profiles, and security groups.
• Build calculated fields, reports to track overtime, labor costs, attendance variances, and payroll summaries.
• Partner with HR Operations, Total Rewards, Finance and IT to drive automation and system upgrades.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Workday Functional Specialist with 6 to 8 years of overall HRIS expertise, specializing across Workday Core HCM, Workday Payroll, and Workday Workforce Management (WFM / Time Tracking & Absence Management). In this role, you will design, configure, optimize, and support end-to-end Workday solutions that directly tie workforce scheduling, time tracking, and leave policies into seamless payroll calculation engines.

Key Responsibilities

• Module Ownership & Configuration: Lead the design, configuration, and enhancement of Workday Core HCM, Payroll (US/Global), Time Tracking, and Absence Management.
• WFM & Payroll Alignment: Configure complex time entry rules, overtime rules, work schedules, holiday calendars, and accrual plans; build seamless integrations between Time/Absence and the Payroll processing engine.
• Payroll Execution & Compliance: Set up payroll earnings/deductions, calculate tax setup, execute pay groups, run payroll calculations, manage parallel testing, and handle audit reconciliations.
• Core HR Lifecycle: Oversee business process configurations (BPs) across the employee lifecycle (Hire-to-Retire), organizational structures, job profiles, and security groups.
• Reporting & Analytics: Build calculated fields, matrix, custom, and composite reports to track overtime trends, labor costs, attendance variances, and payroll summaries.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with HR Operations, Total Rewards, Finance, and IT stakeholders to drive automation, optimize tenant performance, and streamline system upgrades.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: 6-8 years of hands-on experience in Workday configuration, implementation, or support, with demonstrable expertise bridging HCM, WFM, and Payroll.
• Core Modules: Deep functional knowledge of Workday Core HCM, Workday Payroll, Workday Time Tracking, and Workday Absence Management.
• Integrations & Security: Solid understanding of Workday Business Process Framework, Domain/Business Process Security, and PECI/Payroll interfaces.
