Qualifications

• Analyze complex business requirements and translate them into functional system configurations.
• Support and lead testing activities including unit, system, and user acceptance testing.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex configuration, process, and system issues.
• Partner with HR Operations, GPOs, Product Leads, PMO and HR Technology teams.
• Advise stakeholders on Workday capabilities, limitations, and approaches.
• Support governance, change management and HR technology standards.

Position Summary

The Senior Workday Functional Analyst is responsible for the design, configuration, support, and continuous improvement of Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) solutions. This role partners closely with HR Operations, Global Process Owners (GPOs), the PMO, and HR Technology and Analytics team members to deliver scalable and effective Workday solutions that support business objectives.
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Workday Core HCM together with experience supporting multiple Workday functional areas. The Senior Workday Functional Analyst serves as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, leads solution design efforts, and partners across HR functions to deliver scalable and effective Workday solutions.

Workday Configuration & Solution Design

• Configure and maintain Workday Core HCM functionality, including Business Processes, Organizational Structures, Supervisory Organizations, Job Profiles, Staffing Models, Custom Reports, and Calculated Fields.
• Lead solution design discussions and recommend scalable approaches aligned with Workday best practices.
• Analyze complex business requirements and translate them into functional system configurations.
• Support and lead testing activities, including unit testing, system testing, and user acceptance testing.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex configuration, process, and system issues.

Stakeholder Partnership

• Serve as a strategic partner to HR Operations, Global Process Owners (GPOs), Product Leads, PMO resources, and HR leaders.
• Lead requirements gathering, business analysis, and solution design activities.
• Advise stakeholders on Workday capabilities, limitations, and recommended approaches.
• Facilitate discussions to align business needs with standardized processes and enterprise governance.
• Support organizational change management and adoption efforts.

Security Administration

• Support and maintain Workday security configuration and access controls.
• Assist with security design, troubleshooting, audits, and periodic access reviews.
• Ensure security configurations align with governance, compliance, and audit requirements.

Continuous Improvement & Governance

• Evaluate new Workday functionality and participate in release planning activities.
• Identify opportunities to simplify processes, reduce manual effort, and improve user experience.
• Maintain accurate configuration documentation and solution designs.
• Support governance, change management, and enhancement review processes.
• Contribute to HR Technology standards, best practices, and knowledge-sharing efforts.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5+ years of Workday functional experience.
• Hands-on configuration experience in Workday Core HCM.
• Experience supporting and configuring one or more additional Workday functional areas such as Talent & Performance, Compensation, Recruiting, Absence, Time Tracking, Learning, or Security.
• Experience leading solution design discussions and translating complex business requirements into scalable solutions.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end HR business processes and their interaction across Workday modules.
• Experience partnering with HR Operations, COEs, and business stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience across multiple Workday functional domains.
• Experience supporting global HR processes.
• Experience working with Global Process Owners and enterprise governance models.
• Experience participating in Workday implementations, acquisitions, or large-scale transformation initiatives.
